Who Are We?
A Few Words About Breathing Room and the People Behind it’s Creation

My name is Damika Tucker, and while my professional background has always been in IT, I carried a lifelong dream of creating a space where people could truly reconnect with themselves.
Through some of life’s most challenging seasons, I came to understand how deeply we all need moments to simply stop — to breathe, release, and reconnect. As an avid meditator and lifelong seeker, I’ve experienced firsthand the profound shift that happens when we give ourselves permission to pause and shed the weight of our times. That understanding is what inspired Breathing Room — a space devoted to renewal, presence, and peace.
That vision became Breathing Room—a space where technology meets tranquility. Here, I’ve woven together my IT roots with my passion for meditation and holistic wellness. Our haven offers an innovative blend of modern relaxation systems and time-honored healing practices. You’ll find:

And beyond our relaxation systems, We open the doors to create community through classes, events and gatherings in meditation, laughter yoga, qi gong, restorative movement, and other energy-based practices. As well as opportunities to really foster a deeper growth and connection through walking The Sacred Journey together by inviting and practicing The Great Work of knowing self, enhancing our wholeness and inviting the sacred. Each offering is designed to foster self and community connection and truly nurturing the mind, body, and soul.

In our modern lifestyle, we are mostly locked into our in built survival system known as our Fight Flight Nervous System or Syspathetic Nervous. This system is automatically triggered in the face of a stressful situation. SInce we aren’t running away from lions and tiggers in the modern world, our stressors have become schedules, finances, careers etc etc. This system helps give us the energy or drive to be able to move through challanging times. The real challange is the calming system is NOT automatic. We must make an effort, or an intentional time to spend to shed this stressful state, where we have elevated cortisol that wreacks havoc on our full hormone spectrum and influences our wider wellness in a downward trend. So we want to continue to spend intentional time trending UP.
